The Hexipuff Challenge

On Friday, I started my Beekeeper's Quilt and bought tinyowlknit's pattern. I am so excited about this project even though I imagine it will take me an eternity. I'm starting out with 7 different skeins of yarn in the colors beige, white, green, yellow, and two variegated skeins with those colors. I have two skeins of Koigu PPPM, on skein of Cascade 220 sport in white, one skein of Knit Picks Pallette  in a pearlish color, some Rowan soft 4 ply in a darker beige, some Jawol Sock in a green, and some bright yellow Fortissima Socka sock yarn. I've made 5 puffs so far.

In my head, my quilt will be yellow, green, beige, black, and white with only a few puffs made with variegated yarn. Because my summer at this point in the year is looking a bit empty, I will probably get my first summer job in order to supply a steady supply of sock/fingering yarn. Though my sister is really skeptical and thinks this project is a waste of sock yarn, I can hardly contain myself.
